Owned by PCS, the Mayson Center is a large facility with many resources for the community. The Center also has several classrooms used for arts and crafts, adult education, and meetings. A large common room with comfortable seating houses pool tables, foosball, and ice hockey tables. It can also be set up for large meetings or used as a dining area to the adjacent full kitchen and pantry area. A new, full indoor gym/basketball court was just completed in September 2002.

Three offices house 7 staff members including the agency's Associate Director.

About 1000 young people use the Mayson Center each month, increasing to 1,500 during the summer. This center is located on the south end of Hamtramck, a diverse community of long-time residents and recent immigrants.

PCS has had amazing success in being a resource for all ethnic groups in this area and encouraging participation from individual groups and dialog between groups.
