Mural at Mayson Center
The common room of the H.I. Mayson
Hamtramck Neighborhood Center features a marvelous mural depicting the
history of Hamtramck and Detroit. The mural, which is 5 feet high and 164 feet
long when completed, will show historical events starting from the ice age to
present. Local muralist, Dennis Orlowski, has been working on this mural with
the help of local youth who assist as models and as painters.
