Youth Environmental Group

A group facilitator works with Delray youth and their families to help alleviate the environmental issues of the neighborhood. This includes an odor watch group and a "Bucket Bridgade" to collect air quality samples. The program is funded in part by the Skillman Foundation and the University of Michigan.

Youth are also encouraged to plant community gardens and University of Michigan students have been instrumental in planting a variety of young trees, which will one day grow up to provide the anticipated park-like atmosphere that the Delray Neighborhood House and the City of Detroit Park need.
